How Many Ways Can You Make Money Online?
- Run Google Adsense ads on your website. The downside to this is you are sending traffic away from your site, this is not ideal if you have your own products you are trying to sell.
- Create a website or blog and advertise affiliate products for sale. A large number of product review websites are affiliate sites.
- Sell banner advertising on your web site. This form of advertising has been around almost since the beginning of the Internet, selling "eyeballs" to advertisers who want to reach the audience your site attracts. Even though times are tough for companies selling banner ads this is still the most common way businesses make money from their web sites.
- Collect and sell visitor's information. Collecting your visitor's information isn't just a good idea, it's good business. Demographic information about your users is a potential gold mine, and specific information about a user’s preferences and interests is even more valuable. Do not sacrifice your credibility with customers for a quick buck, always respect your visitor's privacy, and never sell personal information without their permission.
- Have an email newsletter that visitor's can sign up for. Email lists and newsletters represent one of the most powerful marketing and money making tools on the Internet. There are Internet marketers that generate five figures in revenues each month from there email newsletters, proving that this method works.
Earn Money on eBay
If you decide to try eBay start off small with just things you need to get rid of around the house, then once you get comfortable you can buy products from a wholesaler like Liquidation.com or simply buy products from eBay and resell them. Who knows you may become a millionaire eBay marketer.
Are You a Writer?
A growing number of sites will pay for your articles or blog posts. Associated Content and Helium will pay for performance based on page views for just about anything you want to write about. Articles on specific topics they're looking for can earn direct payments up to about $200. The rates are probably low for established writers, but if you're trying to break into the field and have time on your hands, they're a great way to start. Also, a lot of companies are looking for part-time bloggers. They may pay per post or on a steady contract.
Are You a Photographer?
You don't have to be a professional photographer to sell your photos for money. People are constantly in need of stock photography for websites, presentations, brochures and so on, and are willing to pay for the right image. People generally search for images on stock photography sites by keywords, so you have the same chance as anyone else of having your image picked. Just be careful that you don't have images of trademarked brands, copyrighted art or people's faces that are readily identifiable (unless you have a model release), but just about anything else is fair game. I promise, you'd be amazed what people need pictures of. If you have decent photos, upload them. Some sites to get you started include Fotolia, ShutterStock, Dreamstime and iStockphoto. The great thing about selling photos is once you upload them to a website you are done.
